Burt Mason obtained his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 1970 and his Master of Science from the University of Arkansas in 1976. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s Law School in 1979. Burt served six years as a ground communications officer in USAF including serving in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. He is also a member of VFW, Elks, Lions and the American Legion. In May 1979, he drove to Alaska in search of his first job and never left . Burt started working in Alaska defending insurance corporations and their insureds from lawsuits and claims. In 1983, he opened his own firm continuing to do primarily insurance defense work. In 2002, he opened an office in Eagle River and his practice was primarily representing injured employees. As of 2008, Burt has limited his practice to representing injured employees in workers' compensation claims.
